Wealden Sussex Sandstone

Also known as Tunbridge Wells Sandstone or Ardingly Sandstone, Wealden Sussex Sandstone is a fine-grained freestone that has been used to build in Sussex since Norman times. The stone weathers from a light honey colour to silvery autumnal shades and is an ideal natural product for both traditional or contemporary garden and building design. We secured the right to excavate the last remaining large source of Wealden Sussex Sandstone at West Hoathly in 2004.
