Wealden Sussex Sandstone

Wealden Sussex Sandstone Coarse Tooled Walling (CHT)

This tooled natural sandstone walling is ideal for restoration and new build projects. The 45-degree tooled finish to this stone ashlar was introduced into England by the Normans. It can be seen in many notable buildings in the South East, including Battle Abbey (1068) and Rudyard Kipling's house, Bateman's.

Wealden Sussex Sandstone weathers from a warm honey colour to soft silvered autumn shades. It is an ideal natural stone to blend into a traditional or contemporary garden or building design.
