Wealden Sussex Sandstone

Sawn Natural Building Grade Wealden Sussex Sandstone (WSBG)

Since Norman times, Wealden Sussex Sandstone has been used to build manor houses of distinction in the South East of England. Quarried in Sussex, this British sandstone has a fine texture. Its subtle honey-coloured tones weather to silvery autumnal shades. On occasion the stone contains carbonaceous striations, adding interest to the surface.

Wealden Sussex Sandstone is ideal for ashlar and for masonry items with character, and gives the impression of a patina of age.
