Located in the Garden of England, this stunning property was designed and built using local Kent materials. The prominent brickwork and oak frame compliment each other beautifully.
The clients purchased the site with a view of building their forever family home and planning permission was soon granted and the work on site began.
Following the brick selection process, the clients decided to use Lambs 2" Tudor Textured bricks. Utilising all three colours of the range, along with the occassional glazed brick, the bricks were delivered and blended on site to form an even mixture throughout.
Thought was given with the finer details of the brickwork. A double plinth was required due to using a 2" brick, along with a special brick reveal for the doorways. Both were purpose made to match the 2" face height of the brick.
As the building only had ground floor brickwork, there was little room to incorporate full face height arches, therefore 4 course traditionally laid arches were designed and manufactured using Lambs TLB Red Rubber material. A false cross joint was then used to introduce a bond to the arch.
