Yorkstone

York Riven Sandstone Paving (PYR)

This famous sedimentary sandstone from Yorkshire is often a landscaper's first choice for creating distinctive and hard-wearing pathways and patios. It's no coincidence that it's been widely used in paving city streets from London to York.

Yorkstone weathers to a darker buff colour and is the quintessential material for an English country garden. This riven sandstone is split along the natural striations of the rock, giving the surface a natural texture.
