Making it right
Lambs manufacture a wide variety of specialist clay products ranging from handmade and machine made bricks, arches and specials to a distinctive selection of bespoke Architectural Terracotta and Faience.
We manufacture bricks at Cremer Whiting in Kent and Pitsham brickworks in Sussex. Both factories produce imperial and metric size products using traditional techniques. At the Pitsham brickworks we can produce a dramatic range of colours within each batch of bricks by clamp firing the handmade products.
Our terracotta works in Brighton, East Sussex manufactures specialist ceramics, which can be supplied in a multitude of textures, colours and glazed finishes. In fact we are able to reproduce virtually any type of historic terracotta or faience from any architectural period.
Lambs also operate Philpots quarry, the last remaining Wealden Sussex Sandstone extraction site where dimensional stone of honey colours to autumn shades is quarried. Our trained staff are able to form this unique stone into final finish masonry which is ideal for refurbishment and new build projects. The material has excellent weathering capabilities and local examples of the stone date back to 1360.
The quarry also supplies unique walling stone and feature stones, which are ideal for landscaping projects.
