Production of BVTC Traditional Terra Cotta is carried out in similar ways to the traditional UK market and by Extrusion or Ram Pressing.

Extrusion gives an economy of scale, a precision and volume not achievable in hand pressing into plaster moulds. Pieces up to 1220mm long can be achieved.

Ram pressing gives a sharper finish than slip moulding and hand pressing but also allows greater numbers to be produced.

With a history of supplying to high rise buildings and projects with huge pieces of Terra Cotta BVTC are an excellent partner for Lambs Traditional Terracotta production.

Glazed finishes can be produced to any colour and in High Gloss, mid sheen or mat finish as well through coloured Terra Cotta. Samples can be coloured matched.

Finished units are shipped to the UK in purpose made oak crates and can be delivered to site by Burhill Logistics who will handle all customs and import issues.

Red Rubber Arches at Kings Cross

With all the coverage going to St Pancras few people will be aware that on the Euston Road a major new ticket office for Kings Cross Station has been smoothly constructed.
Lambs were approach to match the Red Rubber Voussoirs on the entrance to the ticket office. Replacement units were manufactured to match the original shapes and used in conjunction with the original stones.
Inside the ticket office are nine further arches which provide a new skin to the front of the St Pancras Building making new walk ways through from the Kings Cross ticket office to the undercroft platforms of St Pancras. These arches were carefully and neatly installed by Szerelmey and show how well Lambs Red Rubber Arches blend with the original buildings.
Lambs have continued a long association with this building having supplied voussoir replacements to the St Pancras Chambers Building during the previous refurbishment.

Lambs Success at Summer Shows

This summer saw the The Lamb Group Sales Team visiting a number of County Shows. These shows were used in part as an exercise in raising awareness to our potential customers of the variety of uses that our beautiful Wealden Sandstone can be used for in constructing new homes, extensions, different types of walls, and numerous styles of garden projects and artefacts. Our handmade bricks are already very well known in the building industry and the shows gave us an opportunity to meet past, current and future customers in more relaxed surroundings.

Our unique and attractive trade stand was successful in attaining a Highly Commended award in the trade stand section of the Kent Show in the middle of July, and a truly stunning First prize in the small trade stand section of the New Forest and Hampshire Show at the end of July.

Sussex Reclaim Handmade Facings

Recently produced in limited quantities the Sussex Reclaim Handmade Multi Facings have proved to be a great success.
The wall pictured here in Canterbury has just been finished using 12,000 of these facings and exhibits a variation in colour not often found in new bricks. Fresh thinking on burning products enable Lambs to achieve this highly individual range but unfortunately the stocks will be limited on a first come first served basis.
